From now on, DDR is part of my exercise plan! 💃 I struggled as to how to count the calories. DDR normally only burns a moderate amount of calories –but you’ve not seen ME play DDR. 😅
Basically, I am an ineffective, terrible mess. I don’t step on the arrows, I jump on them, and when there are no arrows to step on, I hop, excitedly, in the center. I never stop moving, and in 20 minutes I am dripping sweat down my face and back, even though I can ride my bike 20 miles and you know, it’s a workout, but I’m fine.
When I compare the way I play DDR to other exercise I’ve done, the only other one in which I am constantly jumping like a crazy person and left feeling like my soul is going to leave my body, is jumping rope. So I’m going to count this exercise as that. I’m well aware that a normal person playing DDR would not burn that amount of calories… but again, I play very particularly… let’s just sat there is a reason I do this home alone (and yeah –we have a machine in the house, if you didn’t know, but I think most of my friends know.)
Today I did two bursts of approximately 15 minutes each, so I feel confident deducting 250 calories.
