Today I moved the new snails I captured to their bigger tank. I have a total of 31! Most are on the small side, but I believe they are young, rather than runts.
I confirmed that all snails in this new rout are of the same species, Zachrysia Provisoria (AKA, Cuban brown snail). They are different from my other snails. Their slime, in particular, is unbelievably slippery. When you handle these snails, much greater care has to be exercised in order not to drop them because of this. I also find the slime harder to wash off my hands than with any other snail species.
Still, they are snails, and that means they are stupid and adorable, and that’s really all I care about. I am due to shop for their veggies again, which means for this feeding I was stuck with too much “unhealthy” stuff, meaning romaine lettuce and cucumber. Of course I also provided squash, strawberries, carrots and red pepper, and even a kale leaf, but I prefer for the bulk of the feed to be dark leaf greens.
Anyway, my new rout was treated to what them surely is a wealth of delicacies they have never ever tasted before. Of course they all went straight for the cucumber:
After maybe two or three years of searching, I am delighted to finally have come across these guys. I said “one year” when talking about this before, because that’s how long I’ve been keeping snails. However, I’ve been hunting for them for far longer. I only ever came across their empty, sun-bleached shells, because they hide quite well during the day by burying deep in the soil. So, I’m really happy to have my own rout of Cubanitos after all this time. 🥰🐌
I wore one of my new getups today… well, the skirt is new, and the overall combination of things is new. I was pretty happy with it.
My preorder of Olympia Soirée arrived! I think this might be my only rated M otome so far? 😳💦💦
I’ve walked tons the entire week, so I guess tomorrow, if weather allows, I’ll go out on my bike instead. It’s less of a calorie burn, but it is fun and pleasant, it exercises different muscles, and will be a bit of a rest from my weekly routine which admittedly has been intense. I can’t hope to keep it up if I am not careful. Or maybe tomorrow I’ll mow and Sunday I’ll ride… we will see.
I guess I’ll say goodnight here. I’m going to bed with a very happy feeling in my heart tonight. I’ve had a wonderful evening.
✨ Here’s warm-up 10 of 30! ✨ This one is for SnowTheBear.

She wanted to wish you all a good morning too.
Good morning, everyone! First things first. I forgot to share last night’s dinner before I went to bed. I was pretty proud of it. Chicken meatballs with elbows in white mushroom sauce and avocado (weird side, but they were ripe, ok?)
At 6:30am I was out and headed on my morning walk. Once again, the little owls were there, watching me go by. Rather unusually, one was perched on a sign a ways off the nest.
Then he flew back to the alternate opening (but I’m 80% sure this isn’t an opening, rather just a drainage pipe that they like to hide in as an emergency.)
As usual, not terribly pleased that I noticed him there.
Friendly enough fella, but squirrels often make me nervous. They can be vicious little bastards, one sent my MIL to the hospital once!
I also collected more snails when I passed what I now call “Snail Country”. I have moved a bit from my original collection area, to where I can find some bigger specimens. Today I will be moving all of those snails to a more comfortable, bigger tank. 😊
Today is going to be very busy actually. By noon, I want to have all of my chores done, and I have a LOT of chores to do. So I’m gonna get to it. I hope everyone reading this enjoys this day!
