Mwakoโ€™s โ€™21 Visit ๐Ÿฆ Day Three

๐Ÿ–๏ธ At The Beach ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

I think today was my most favorite day of Mwako’s visit! It was definitely our “Littlest” day. We went to the beach and played lots of Littlespace games later that day back at my house.

We were up very early and off to Target to get some beach toys since I didn’t have any. Mwako got me a bucket, some scoops and a saxophone playing parasaurolophus!

I wore my Wen swimsuit, which I love to pieces still, and my new Toy Story Land hat that I got during the last Orlando trip. ๐Ÿ˜

Mwako took lots of photos of some –some candid, some I posed for. I think these might be the only photos of me at a beach ever.

There was a lot of seaweed, and I didn’t want to go into the water because it required wading past it. So Mwako basically dragged me screaming into the sea, I wish I was joking. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Then I clung on to him like a barnacle, and didn’t want to go back into the beach because of wading into the seaweed again. There was SO MUCH of it.

While we played in the water, a vehicle came and swept a lot of the seaweed on the beach away (or rather, “tilled” it into the sand). So at that point we went back to play on the nice clean beach.

My large blue bucket was quite unmanageable. I wasn’t able to make a big castle with it, I guess the sand was the problem. Being full of seaweed, it easily fell apart. But I was able to make a few small structures! A tiny city of sorts.

My parasaurolophus simply stood by playing an ominous tune on his sax.

Eventually the village was done! It even had bushes for decoration. A peaceful neighborhood, for the time being.

Mwako doesn’t really like his picture taken, but he approved of me taking this one from far away. He is looking for seashells for me to decorate my houses with.

All of these beautiful beach photos were taken by Mwako.

Of course, I had to “enhance” them with stickers… ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Here’s a couple more he took of me:

At this point my sax-playing parasaurolophus decided it was time to give in to his dinosaur instincts and destroy the town.

Just like that the poor entire town is gone. For some reason, after this I felt very satisfied, and just sat staring out at the sea in contemplation.

…before sentencing my parasaurolophus to be drowned when the tide came in as penance for the wanton destruction:

(In the end he got lucky, we had to leave before the tide came in. He lives to destroy again!)

๐Ÿฃ๐ŸŒˆ Littlespace Time ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฃ

After the beach, we went to a McDonald’s Drive-Thru and it was the perfect hour: they had Sausage Egg McMuffins AND fresh fries! I had one of the most delicious breakfasts in months. Then we got back to my place, showered, and feeling quite refreshed, began our Little time!

At Mwako’s suggestion, we watched The Owl House, a show I am new to. I liked it a lot! Here is Mwako’s play area with the big crayons:

Mwako colored very, very fast. One could hardly keep up with him!

I just colored one drawing, of Cookie Monster with… err… a neighbor? Cousin?

I basically finished, but want to add some more details later:

I also started on a new squirrel page:

Multiple Owl House episodes later, our wrists hurt and we needed a snack, so we headed downstairs.

๐Ÿฟ Intermission ๐Ÿฟ

For a snack, I had coffee and a chocolate rice krispie treat! Mwako had juice and Lunchables.

๐Ÿงฉ Time For Games ๐Ÿงฉ

Next was board games! We played Bluey’s Shadowlands.

The physical execution of this fame is atrocious, lol. I can’t recommend buying it. It’s a cool concept, however it is very poorly done. Materials wise, I mean. Mostly it’s the palm tree mechanism that is a problem. But the game looks nice.

Still –we had fun with it. Mwako won!

๐ŸŒˆ Waffle Block Fun ๐ŸŒˆ

I love waffle blocks so much! They are my favorite type of block by far. We had so much fun with them. I made a little house! The house had windows, a path, a fence, a lawn chair, a satellite dish and two bushes.

Mwako made two things. The first was an Evil Lair Of Liony Doom (my name). I took many photos because I thought it was extremely cool.

He also made a cat carrier, with a handle and all:

Of course, we had to have the cats try it…

Elliot had regrets.

Rosie’s opinion was similar:

At this point Christopher was getting home so we put the toys away, and once he arrived, we went to our anticipated ramen dinner.

๐Ÿœ Hi-Pot Dinner ๐Ÿœ

Hi-Pot is one of our favorite restaurants and we were happy to introduce Mwako to it. We hadn’t had it in a long time and it was as good as ever.

Since I don’t often get to go out these days, I changed all over again just to go out to dinner:

As I was setting the alarm when we left, I noticed the sun on the Ring camera and it looked pretty so I took a capture:

I had… OMG… I had too many eggs. Christopher gave me his egg in exchange for my meat. I also ordered a side order of egg thinking it would be one egg but it was two. It was a massive amount of delicious eggs.

After we got home I almost went straight to bed, just kinda crashed, I was so happy and so full. Mwako leaves tomorrow… I will miss him lots. And I’ll back to work, work work! ๐Ÿ˜ซ

IKEA Outing ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™โœจ

Hi hi, everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Yesterday was pretty fun. After breakfast, some house chores and yard work, Christopher and I picked up our friend and the three of us went to IKEA. I brought Anise with me and put together a new outfit!

We had swedish meatballs and such for lunch and then walked around. I found some wild snail art on a fridge!

My main goal for this outing was to measure some bunk beds, see them in person, and decide which one I’m going to put in my studio. In the end, I settled for this one:

The upper area will be mostly for my stuffed animals, except in cases where I really need to have someone there. But that will not be its primary purpose. Anyway, it was out of stock, which I expected. It should be coming back later this month.

Totally unrelated but one of the Bluey showrunners or something (verified account) liked one of my tweets with a Bluey plush and a freaking ODU ONESIE on it and I had a moment of both glee and utter panic:

I was happy and also had an urge to block him out of sheer panic. It was like โ€œHe noticed me!!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜€ โ€œNOOO PLEASE DON’T NOTICE MY CRINGEโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Anyhow, that’s it for today. I did also gets plenty more commission progress done. Hopefully my goals of posting all overdue work this week can be reached! Goodnight, everyone.

Iso Storytime 8/6 ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ“š

I worked really hard today. Got a massive amount of commission progress underway! I was able to finish all my chores and artwork in time for Isolation Storytime. After having so much fun during my first event I was very excited for today’s.

Already I had my area all prepped in the afternoon! This time I got ready in the library. I think this will be my place for it going forward. It was much more conductive to a Little space of mind.

And hereโ€™s my little table for coloring with both of my fancy sharpeners and aaaall of my crayon boxes! Though not all are visible here I supposeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿค” My big pink case was still in the other room.

Bluey helped me pick my outfit for the evening! I chose one of my own designs that I created for ODU, the Dino Nuggies pattern!

It was very fitting given my dinner…

Tonight was the night I picked to open all of my Bluey toys at once! So I had those in that area as well.

I had fun opening and posing them while listening to stories.

My favorite parts were the afterparty (well, the little bit I stayed forโ€ฆ I was tired) and the reading of Danger Moose and Bunny Boyโ€ฆ and Mavisโ€™ singing โ€œImagineโ€. Iโ€™m really happy that I have this to look forward to every week. I did some more crayoning too!

I hope to finish it this weekend, so I can start another, but it’s also really important that I get all commissions to the line art stage before Monday. I want all the overdue work to be done before next weekend, and so far, I’m doing well.

I’m not sure if I’ll attend the next Iso Storytime because next Friday is the Evangelion release… but I’ll definitely attend the Friday after that!

Anyway… it’s sooo late… well past my bedtime. Goodnight, everyone…

Last Bits Of Birthday Stuff (Part #2) ๐ŸŽโœจ

Iโ€™d mentioned yesterday that I was waiting for two last birthday things. ๐Ÿ˜Š They arrived! One was the Heeler four wheel drive family vehicle. Itโ€™s really cute! ๐Ÿš— โœจ

I haven’t opened any of my Bluey toys yet. Waiting for special occasions.

I really like the detail of the car seats and the accurate location of the steering wheel:

The other thing that came in was one more book for scrapbooking. Itโ€™s also very cute. However, it has some minor water damage so Iโ€™m having it replaced.

And thatโ€™s it for all my birthday stuffs. Now Iโ€™m doing some chores and from afternoon until night itโ€™s going to be a serious buckle-down on commissions! ๐ŸŽจโœŠ

Last Bits Of Birthday Stuff (Part #1) ๐ŸŽโœจ

My last bit of birthday stuff (mostly Amazon gift card stuff) is arriving today and some arrived yesterday! I really ended up spoiled beyond belief… I will say that, considering that luxuries such as these are gonna go out of the window starting in August, Iโ€™m so glad that I have so much stuff to have fun with for a long while.

๐Ÿฃ Littlespace Stuff ๐Ÿฃ

First is this Bingo night light! Iโ€™m going to enjoy looking at it every day on my desk while I work:

Here she is all lit up! You can’t turn the light off –it goes off by itself after a few minutes.

Here are some more vintage unopened trading cards. Canโ€™t wait to open these during Littlespace and then scrapbooking with them!

These things can be really hit or miss though. Sometimes I get a lot of “puzzle piece” type cards…

Next –more stickers!! Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Crayon Shin-Chan this time. ๐Ÿ‘€

Then there’s another book for scrapbooking art into my journal. I have one more of these coming later today.

๐ŸŒˆ Other Cool Things ๐ŸŒˆ

I had a lot of these books on my wish list and was really glad to get at least one. Itโ€™s absolutely fantastic! If youโ€™re a writer I highly recommend it.

The way it works is, you look up an emotion, and for each emotion you get a wealth of expressions that you can use to express that particular state of mind. It’s just so cool.

Finally โ€”this wasnโ€™t a birthday present. I preordered this AGES agoโ€ฆ it finally came today. (*๏ฟฃโˆ€๏ฟฃ) โœจ

I really did buy a lot of crap before things went south recentlyโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜… and other than Grandmaโ€™s check (which I saved) I pretty much spent all birthday money right away, tooโ€ฆ I wanna make sure it is clear no donation money went to any of this junk. It was either purchased before or with gift cards/money given to myself with the caveat that it was to be used for birthday treats.

Also. I think you all know this, BUTโ€ฆ my spending sprees often coincide with depression. Especially if itโ€™s my Little side that is hit. ๐Ÿ˜“ You can often tell Iโ€™m depressed even if Iโ€™m seemingly super happy by how much s**t I buy in a given period of time, even if I seem super happy in my posts.

With that said, it definitely wonโ€™t be possible going forward for a while, so Iโ€™ll have to find a different coping mechanism. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’ฆ Thankfully, I have a lot to entertain myselfโ€ฆ and the Zoom meeting with other Littles did me tremendous good too!

To be clear, no one has given me a hard time about this at allโ€ฆ but I worry about perception, so I wanted to set that straight.

I think that’s all for this post. I’m working really hard. Things are still fairly stressful at home, but taking time every few days to be Little is doing wonders for my mental health. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend!

My First Iso Storytime! ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿ“š

Today I did something I’d been toying with for some time, but felt too shy to do. Same reason actually why I didn’t do BFC… Now, I wish that I had attended that as well. See, today I attended Isolation Storytime for the first time!

To tell you the truth I fully expected to keep my webcam and mic off for the whole thing, lurk a while, feel super uncomfortable and leave. This is because generally, being around other Littles that I don’t know intimately tends to cause a cognitive dissonance in me, a strong awareness that I’m a grown ass adult doing kid things, and I go into a bad headspace.

I’ve heard this happens to other Littles as well. In your mind, during Littlespace, you feel like a little kid. But depending on how your mind works, seeing other Littles being Little in their very adult bodies can be a reminder of reality and yank you right out. This, I assume, has a lot to do with how much you are exposed to other Littles, and is probably why I have Little friends with whom this does not happen at all.

Anyway, to my surprise, this ended up not being the case. For reasons I cannot explain, I turned my camera on right at the start. I ended up not feeling so shy and having so much fun. The hostess, Tibby/Mavis, was wonderful, I was blown away by how talented she was in her singing and playing! And everyone who offered their time and effort was so lovely too. I really enjoyed coloring while listening to stories. It left me feeling quite happy. I think I might even offer to read a story down the road…

It was also my first time in a Zoom group meeting. Still getting used to the mechanics of that.

During this time I tried out my new crayon sharpener that I got from Drake as a birthday present. Itโ€™s amazing! It really gets crayons back to their old sharpness:

By this I mean proper crayon shape. I just found it so cool!

Anyhow, my first IsoStorytime attendance was very sudden, I had actually decided not to attend and changed my mind ten minutes before start time… next Friday I may use my laptop at floor level instead and prep myself a play area well in advance. Maybe even order a Happy Meal if Christopher lets me. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŸ

Birthday Fun! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‚

Hi hi, everyone!! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Guess what today is. It’s my birthday! ๐Ÿฅณ Of course you know, because I’m the kind of person who doesn’t shut up about these things. ๐Ÿ˜ The first thing I woke up to was a birthday greeting and Amazon gift card from my mom in law. I think I had spent it literally ten minutes later. I’m terrible.

But anyway, got even more stuff I’m looking forward to arriving now. Today was extremely overindulgent. ๐Ÿ˜… But I have been so sad, and so stressed, especially the last week. I am a lot happier.

๐ŸŽ Opening Presents ๐ŸŽ

The first present I opened arrived some weeks ago. I didn’t know who it was from until today –thank you very much to my friend Kiba! It’s Felix Salten’s “Forest World”:

Felix Salten is a writer best known for the books “Bambi” and “Bambi’s Children”, but he also wrote “Fifteen Rabbits”, “Perri: The Youth Of A Squirrel” and many other wonderful books, which are often heartbreaking and full of death, but also hopeful and with beautiful descriptions of the wonders of life and of nature.

As I continued opening my presents, it turned out (based on the included gift notes) that I got some from Bluey and her gang! ๐Ÿคฏ What is this sorcery?

They sent me the Shadowlands board game, and some stickers! Thank you Bluey, Coco and Snickers! I think my friend Mwako was involved in making it happen, though… ๐Ÿฆ

The next package was from a dear commissioner, whom I love to draw. He has a very cute mouse fursona, a weakness of mine! His name in the community is Fieval. He sent me some Bluey figures! Thank you very much, Matt! ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿ’•

It was finally time to open my biggest present. I was very excited, so I saved it for last, and… HOLY CRAP!! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•โœจโœจโœจโœจโœจโœจ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ *sobs*

I lost my freaking mind, it’s so cute!! Again, I suspect a tiny lion had something to do with it… although it still seemed to come from either Bluey or Bingo. Who IS the keepy-uppy expert? Was that ever established? I can’t recall. ๐ŸŽˆ

You know… I wish I could have told 7 year old me that I would still be getting toys from multiple people for my 38th birthday –from people who also, like me, like toys and kiddy things as adults. That I would have a tank full of snails and four cats, and a library, and a husband who’s kind of a big kid like me in some ways too and makes me feel safe and loved… and drawing every day… what a life. I hope nothing happens to take it all away, but even if it did I would be so grateful for all I had until today.

๐ŸŒˆ Littlespace Shopping ๐ŸŒˆ

Earlier in the day, my friend Snow sent me a present too! Some birthday monies to spend however I wanted today. So I decided to go out. And I finally made an outfit around my new Bluey shirt!

I really love it a whole lot! I wore my boots because it was sprinkling when I left but in the end I didn’t need them. It was sunny all throughout. ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒปโœจ

Oh yeah… I know this is a petty side note, but I get asked “where did you get X thing” a LOT when I post “Little” stuff. Like multiple times a day on Twitter, often by complete strangers. It gets very old for meโ€ฆ I feel like I am used as a catalog mostly (usually) by people who almost never talk to me or don’t even follow me, even though 90% of the stuff I post can be found if you put 10-15 minutes into a Google search. If we are CLOSE friends then feel free to ask me via DM. ๐Ÿ˜Š I don’t mind telling friends. I just don’t like feeling used because someone is lazy.

I have a mask but itโ€™s not in this photo. Iโ€™m wearing a mask indoors again when shipping and such, to be extra safe, but I am vaccinated! โœŒ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๐Ÿ’‰

I had a lot of fun on my walk, but was definitely glad that I brought a bottle of water (something I’m bad about) because the heat was quite unbearable. Here is my Little birthday treasure hoard from that excursion:

One of my favorites was this squirrel which will likely be displayed for the entirety of fall every year going forward! And speaking of squirrels and fallโ€ฆ another fun fall squirrel thing I got was a garden flag to put at the front of the house. Have I mentioned Iโ€™m excited for fall? ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฐ

As you can see in the first photo I also got fall, Christmas and Birthday stickers, a new pair of scissors, and some Pride tape. And these amazing scented gel crayons! ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

Small softcover books make great, cheap scrapbooking suppliesโ€ฆ although a part of myself dies when I cut up a brand new book, even if I bought it for this specific purposeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ญโœ‚๏ธ

One of the nicest thing I got was another Highlights Hidden Pictures puzzle book. These are a massive Little button for me.

I love the old-timey art and the level of difficulty is precise to my usual Little age headspace. Here’s some sample pages… ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ I love it so much!

Thank you again, Snow, for all the nice play things I was able to get! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿ“ฆ Mail Day ๐Ÿ“ฆ

As if so many wonderful things weren’t enough, when I got home there was stuff in the mail for me. One was the Bella Sara card packs I ordered a while ago:

I’ll use them for scrapbooking, but opening card packs is also a big Littlespace activity for me, so I’m very excited about them.

The next really blew my mind!! I specifically asked my mom for the Vegeta figure for my birthday because it was so cheap… like $12. I knew she wanted to get me something, I didn’t want her to overspend on me! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Especially when she’s spent THOUSANDS recently on immigration… WHY… ๐Ÿ˜ข

Anyway… she kept messaging during my outing wanting to know if I was home. It was because of this:

So… yeah… one of the most wanted most expensive things on my list. A gorgeous artbook of my first otome experience, Code: Realize ~Guardian Of Rebirth~.

It even has art I’ve never seen before, so I was quite overcome with emotion by this beautiful present from my loving mom.

๐Ÿ’• Date Night ๐Ÿ’•

After ALL of that, Christopher and I had our date night! I had a really fancy snack and perhaps a bit too much wine. Bangers is protecting my yummy hoard!

Like last time, we played Age of Empires together-but-separately (side by side):

Later we watched a movie. I was too full from snacks to have dinner. ๐Ÿ˜…

Christopher petted me for hours while we watched. I was half dozing off between the wine and all the happy feels and just feeling sooooo good, it was a wonderful evening and I felt so loved and safe.

Now it’s time for bed… thank you, everyone, for all the presents and good wishes. You made me so happy. I guess I’ll have more things to share throughout the weekend as they arrive –but tomorrow I really gotta get some work done! โœŠ๐Ÿ’ฆ Goodnight, everyone…

A “Little” Breather ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐ŸŒˆ

Today I finished my 100 Days Of Warm-Ups project! Well, it ended up being 103. Before I start to work again, I needed to reset, so I decided to have some Little time. Of course, that means scrapbooking and cartoons!

I had Bluey with me. I offered to share my snack but she didn’t want any.

Cartoon choices were (of course) Bluey and Crayon Shin-Chan.

The episode I started with, in which Shin Chan meets the โ€œreal lifeโ€ Action Mask, is SO adorable. Shin Chan may be the Japanese “Dennis The Menace” but he is far more childlike and genuine, and as a result, he can be so cute sometimes.

For a show with so much sexual innuendo and such jokes, it has huge heart. I’ve noticed that when shows like these add bits of emotion, it gets to me something crazy. Like when Shin Chan sends his important letter and it’s to Misae to thank her for all she does. It was played for laughs, but I teared up. Or when he finds Shiro. I’ve teared up watching this show at least three times and I’m still on season one. ๐Ÿ˜…

At some point I’m going to start going in between this and Doraemon because I have a lot of episodes to get through.

Anyway!! Have a look at my tape collection!

I’ve got all kinds… Washi, fabric, duck brand tape… they’re a lot of fun. I also have some huge duck brand tape rolls with really cute designs but of course those don’t fit in this box.

The last thing I’ve got to share is my new Bluey shirt. Can you tell I got a new special interest? Oops. Haha…

That’s it for tonight I guess! It’s time to clean the snail tank and then start dinner. I’m making chicken tonight. ๐Ÿ”

A Little Outing On A Hot Day๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒป

I’m still feeling super, super low, so I decided to go on a Little outing. I walked to Michaels and got some stickers, and then to Target, where I got one of their last two Bluey plushies. I really, desperately needed something new to hug that wasn’t expensive.

It was very hot outside, almost unbearably so, but the walk did me good all the same. I met a squirrel on the way, who really stared me down…

Here’s my Bluey plush that I got to cheer myself up:

Later, I did some more scrapbooking. Bluey made sure the colors were harmonious.

I did work on art in the afternoon though, so I promise it wasn’t a day without commission work.
