My studio bunk bed is all done! Some choice stuffie friends have been placed on the top now that there is a mattress there. It’s basically a stuffie corral. 😁
Of course it’s also been thoroughly decorated, and I chose Bizcocho and Maplenut to hang on the edge. Everyone seems happy and comfy on the new sheet:
It looks especially lovely in the dark with all the pretty fairy lights on:
So, yeah… it took months to get this from IKEA but I am quite pleased!
Good morning everyone, how’s it going?
I have a lot of art to work on today. But it’s a good day overall. Yesterday we did our taxes. We are working through some immigration stuff… hoping that will be okay. Big get together at the house this weekend which is fun but also a bit stressful. Trying to get work done in a calm way until then… what are your plans for the rest of the week?
Finally got a nice photo of Creme Brûlée to post! She made a new friend today at the LAN. His name is Lucious! He belongs to one of our friends, Mandie. I decided to make him a necklace too. 🙊
I was able to get a photo of the necklace I made for Lucious before Mandie and Scott left!
I had another fun day with my friend Mwako. We went exploring around Palm Beach! We had brunch at the most lovely little cafe ever. I wish it wasn’t so far from us so I could go again.
I had an iced cappuccino. For brunch I had a smoked salmon croissant and potatoes. It was one of the best things I’ve eaten recently! They had some great looking desserts but I was too full to have any! Canoli!
Afterwards, we went to the beach:
Goodness! Look at the beautiful sea! We loved it so much. Selfie time! Milk Tea is nowhere near as close to the water as she seems. The edge actually was very high. Mwako would get a photo of me here and there when I didn’t notice, haha… here I was helping Milk Tea sit straight for her picture.
Milk Tea had fun looking at expensive mansions out the window. There were so many pretty buildings to look at! We wished we could have stopped at more places.
This Learning Express store had MASSIVE Charlie Bears!!
Definitely the highlight of the day was getting to bring home a new friend! Her name is Creme Brûlée:
I never expected to be able to pick out one of these bears in person as they are not readily found “in the wild”. I still can’t believe it! She’s as big as Bastian, too. I am so happy.
I took forever trying to decide on clothes for Creme Brûlée but unfortunately it didn’t fit her in the end! This is another photo that Mwako took rather surreptitiously:
We had a lot of fun. I can’t believe it’s already time for Mwako to go back home… hopefully he can visit us again soon.
