First Outing With Mandie And Shelly! ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‚

In between commission work and my life just being… overall, well, interesting/busy, blogging has been more in the back of my mind. As such, I’ve accumulated quite a few posts of happenings and things to share. Life has been a lot of fun, in multiple ways, and other than my recent griping about pretty inconsequential stuff at the end of the day, I’ve had a lot of reasons to feel happy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

One of the recent fun things I got to do is a first outing with both of my friends, Mandie and Shelly, at the same time. It was so much fun –and too short, but I had so much to do in the evening. Even as we got home, Mandie and Shelly sat with me as I began to work on dinner, and at least I spent a few more minutes with them that way.

It’s actually completely alien to me, to be cooking while talking with two girl friends, even if we are all Littles. It felt really nice.

We went to Flamingo Road Nursery, where Mandie and I went recently. Since we went too late last time and Shelly had never been, and we wanted to go on a hayride, it was a natural choice while that sort of event is still going on. As soon as we got there, we went straight to the hayride area:

I decided to bring Frito with me that day. I’d never taken him out before. Here he is waiting while we got our tickets:

And here are Mandie and Shelly! We felt very Little sitting on the hay with our stuffies and our feet hanging off the side.

Here are lots of scarecrow photos I took during the ride:

Shelly took a photo of me and Frito too:

After that, we walked around the nursery for a bit, and I took this photo of Frito among the sunflowers:

Then we had lunch in the cafe and made plans for afterwards: Starbucks and a bookstore. I took this photo in the cafe, before leaving, of our three stuffies together:

I meant to share a huge, amazing bookstore with Mandie and Shelly, and somehow directed us somewhere else by mistake. But this place, while much smaller, was too a treasure, and a lot of fun. Mandie and Shelly got multiple books, but as I’ve been quite broke, I just picked up a $1 book from the sale rack outside:

This place had truly wonderful finds, but the prices were $20 or so for anything worthwhile… that’s a little rough.

Anyway, it was loads of fun, and we already have plans for next time. I’m looking forward to it! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Unicorn Chaser ๐Ÿฆ„ ๐Ÿ’จ

Letโ€™s like… just… talk about other stuff for a while, yeah? I can only take this other stuff for so long. So let me share a few happy things.

The other day I went to the craft store and got some ribbon and beads and fabric and similar things. I’ve been determined to make some of my newer (and older, neglected) stuffies their own bandanas and name necklaces.

Here is Raisin, holding the haul and eagerly awaiting his own goodies to be made:

The fabric bundle was really cute:

One of the older stuffies who got pimped out is Frito. Frito has survived several purges and sat in my “donation” pile three times. I can never bear to let him go. After he survived the third purge, I decided it was time to make him a name necklace and dress him up:

Frito is actually a very funny and expressive Folkmanis puppet.

Churrasco also got a name necklace, finally:

And my new stuffed little t-rex, now named Gao, got a name necklace and a bandana that I made for him myself:

Beanie got kind of revamped. He gave up his massive rainbow bow for an oversized sweater, cute bandana and new ribbon:

Along with veteran Franklin, Beanie will be coming along with me on the upcoming New England trip.

It is indeed very rare for me to travel with two bears (a first) as well as Franklin’s first trip in many years. Franklin is basically retired these days. However, we will be going to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory where Franklin was born –I cannot visit that place with anyone but Franklin.

And then of course there is Raisin. He’s very happy with his new getup:

Everyone will be getting hats soon. I got them from AliExpress so that will take a few weeks to arrive.

I have other stuffies who have gotten a bandana here or a ribbon there but these are the most significant changes.

I also made a little cover for my laminator which always gets dusty:

And that’s it. Just some happy stuff to chase away some of these clouds. I’m gonna get some chores done and then work on another commission.

Back To Mineral Town ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ

Last week Christopher relented and got me the remake of Friends Of Mineral Town!

How I wish the “Harvest Moon” name hadn’t been forever tainted, but hey, it’s still Harvest Moon, despite the name change. ๐Ÿ˜ The really nice thing is that even the standard version comes with a little manual:

Of course, back in my day (shakes cane) this was the norm. But as it certainly is not anymore, I was very happy to see it.

It’s gonna be a while til I play it. I’ve accumulated a veritable library of worthy, must-play Switch games. I really need to make a little time for myself to play them.

Soon…
