Chicken curry with avocado for lunch! 😋
The other day I saw a Kid Cuisine at Publix and decided to treat myself!
I gotta say, I did wonder when I saw the package, “What the heck did they do to that little duck??” Because I remember K.C. looking like this:
Anyway today I found out K.C. has always been a penguin, not a duck, so, shows how much I know. This was my meal:
Honestly it was kinda terrible but I still liked it, I don’t know why.
I’m making chicken curry for dinner! Halloween rat approves.
Here’s a little friend I met on a recent walk!
Today we had more fun with our LEGO. I finally got to use the four MILS plates that Christopher made for me. It’s a lot of fun to create a landscape for my tree house! We are going to set up a table for our (very small) LEGO city soon, and I’ll be including this in it.
Here is the minifig that represents Christopher. I got him a pet rat, a gameboy, and a bag of brand new LEGO, along with pants and a shirt of a more accurate color!
My minifig has a nicer haircut and more accurate hair color, a new shirt and new pants, as well as a few new accessories.
Our partner’s minifig has jeans now:
But he needs a new shirt, because I just realized this is another female torso. Sigh.
Today, with Christopher’s and our partner’s help, I made a brand new meal for dinner –Creamy Broccoli and Fennel Casserole! 🥘
It had a very unique flavour. I liked it a lot! Technically, since this is a Blue Apron meal that I saved the recipe from, I’d already had it, but I didn’t remember at all. This time I used better ingredients I’m sure, and just overall did my usual bit of doctoring that generally yields pretty great results. 😊
I never make bacon in the morning but today I was really in the mood. It was delicious! I think I’ll make it next weekend, too.
A perfect relaxing time means LEGO, a mini charcuterie tray, and wine! 😌
We arrived at my mom in law’s tonight! She had tacos waiting for us. They are always good, but I think this time they were better than ever!
I worked really hard to make a special gorgonzola sauce to go with gnocci. It turned out amazing! It was a lot of work but I can’t wait to have it again.
Quite a long time ago, Christopher told me that I would notice that generally, there were no cartoon characters in blatantly unhealthy food products, at least in our area (don’t know about elsewhere) because of some law or something where you could only do this for foods that were, or somewhat purported, to be healthy. So, you’d see Elmo in grape tomatoes and apple juice, Mickey Mouse in snack trays with carrots and celery and some dip, and certainly many cartoon characters in fruit snack boxes made with some fruit juice in them, and also in some cereal boxes. But, other than perhaps Kinder Joy eggs, that was mostly it.
Recently, there must have been some change because suddenly I see cartoons on all kinds of actual junk foods. In this case, cookies:
It’s actually really unusual so it definitely caught my eye. And I know it’s bad but I grew up with cartoons in all junk foods really so it makes me kinda happy. 😅
That aside, I spotted the cutest Mandalorian lunch box at Publix:
Maybe I’ll buy it eventually, but for now, I resisted.
Tonight I had a bit of a party by myself! 🍔✨🍟🐊🌈
I installed The Sims 3 (I had never ever played a Sims game in my life) and got a Pikachu Happy Meal like all the cool kids have been doing.
Here’s my goodies!!
I really like the cards I got! ✨✨✨
After my very adult dinner I poured myself a sippy cup of Gray Whale gin and yuzu tonic to have with my Welch’s Fruit Snacks because I gotta tell you the Sims is F’D up, for someone who knew nothing about it I was shocked by how quickly things devolved into absolute chaos.
I played with a pre-set family this time, but next time I’m gonna create my own!
