Toy Shopping! ๐Ÿฆ–โœจ๐ŸŒˆ

Today I went on a liโ€™l spree! ^-^ I got some little carry cases for my earbuds, a super-soft Animal Crossing blanket, some bandanas for my toy pals and a yard of sparkly rainbow star fabric to make a bandana for myself.

But most importantly I made two new dino friends! They are BIG, and poseable!

These are officially licensed Jurassic World dinos which, in spite of LOVING Jurassic Park, I kind of avoid. I prefer simply dino toys with no sounds or fancy features and no branding. These two fit the bill so amazingly well that I couldnโ€™t pick just one, and got both the raptor and the t-rex. ๐Ÿ˜

I also bought some more little cases to organize my necklaces in the bathroom cabinet, a few more toys for the cats, and the main thing Iโ€™d gone shopping for: a bunch of oversized cheap t-shirts to use as nightshirts. I wanted enough for all the days of the upcoming trip without needing to do laundry.

For dinner we had beef tacos that Christopher made. They were great!

Overall Iโ€™m having some good days. Iโ€™m very busy and tired as we get closer to the trip but Iโ€™m trying my best to have everything ready, from the animals to packing to my artwork, to my mom’s immigration paperwork, while still taking care of myself in between. I’m really grateful to everyone who is being so patient with me as I get all the work done.

Hi-Pot For Date Night ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿ’•

It’s date night! We went out to dinner tonight. This was my outfit for the day:

We went to Hi-Pot, though we just had ramen as we usually do. I give Christopher my meat and he gives me his egg. It’s a good trade. I had milk tea with boba, too, and brought Cerise along:

Afterwards we walked around a little, went to Gamestop. Christopher got Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt Of The NecroDancer for Switch and I watched him play that for a while while working on art. It was a pretty chill date night but we enjoyed ourselves.

Busy Weeks Continue ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Today was a good and busy day. The new frames came and so did my keyboard. I am happy but I also feel very overwhelmed. I don’t really have much else to say really. I’m trying hard to keep up with my busy life as it unfolds around me, while at the same time not miss it. I feel like I have a lot of obligations piling on top of me.

Tomorrow I’ll go see my mom, so there’s that. I’m looking forward to it.

Weekend Recap! ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฅ

Hullo everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your long weekend as I am. I’m having quite a busy one (as usual) though, I did manage to sneak in more reading time than normal. I’m trying to make my way through the Bears Of The Ice series but it really is kind of a drag. After that I’ll reward myself with one of my dinosaur books, though.

Last Friday Christopher drove me to the local Asian mart so I was able to get some goodies I hadn’t had in a while!

Not everything is pictured (the best part were the many special breads, such as melon-pan, strawberry moon-cakes, red bean paste rolls, and such, as well as a new coffee that I really enjoyed) but above you can see some rice crackers, furikake of several flavors, giant Caplico “ice creams”, mayo flavored ramen, a milk candy that was hard as rock and I hard to trash (cries) and a really delicious peanut ball snack. They are peanuts covered by a baked shell that is sort of sweet but not too much. They’re really good.

I also got some cutlery, sometimes they have really cute things:

Over the weekend we went to IKEA as Billys were finally in stock again. So I worked on the guest room, putting the collectibles I still have left in display along with Christopher’s Lilo & Stitch stuff. I really got rid of so, so many things I loved… it’s a little heartbreaking. But in the end I am very glad I kept the things I did keep. I still need to put some pictures on the walls, and I want to buy a small chair and two nightstand lamps, but otherwise it is done:

I can’t wait for our friends to enjoy this room when they stay over.

Kotoko was quite excited as I worked on the room and kept running around between things and between my legs, until she found the comforter on the floor and made a nest in it:

I was able to snap some extremely cute video of Rosemary over the weekend, just being happy and silly:

Tonight I made breaded chicken cutlets with salad and avocado for dinner. Afterwards for dessert Christopher had chocolate ice cream and I enjoyed some espresso with one of my Caplicos:

And that is it for the weekend. I’m so happy that Christopher will be home tomorrow. Perhaps we will watch a movie. Goodnight, everyone!

A Relaxing Weekend ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒผ

Despite being so busy, and a hiccup here and there, I think we really had a good weekend. Yesterday we played cards and did rebus puzzles. And I’ve gotten so much done in terms of exercise, commissions, and housework too. ๐Ÿ˜Š

The dishwasher broke down today. Well, it broke down a while ago, and wasn’t drying the dishes. Opening it up, and doing research, Christopher found the issues and came to the conclusion that we’ve reached a point where a fix does not make economic sense (this dishwasher has been fixed a few times by him) so, a new dishwasher it is.

We got super lucky, and managed to snag one for delivery tomorrow. With the upcoming party, we really needed it.

My t-rex Patriotic garden flag came in!

Here it is, installed:

With Christopher’s blessing, I also put this by the front window:

Unfortunately things have become such that overt displays of patriotism can cause people to assume that we hold a certain political leaning/viewpoints that we strongly disagree with. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ So I wanted to make it clear where we stand, regardless of all the USA flags.

That aside, I’ve been working on making the back porch prettier. The little gnome girl was a present from my mom:

I had one of these today while working on commissions, they’re pretty cute:

For dinner, Christopher obliged my rather selfish request and made me absolutely fantastic teriyaki turkey meatballs with rice (I think it was teriyaki, anyway… I made the rice, to help.) It was a great dinner!

Tomorrow I’ll be up at 6:30am again. Lots ‘n lots to do… ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Happy Saturday! ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒˆ

I may be a li’l drunk… yeah… let’s see if I can get this post written regardless.

We’re having a busy weekend. I got up very early and went grocery shopping. Been doing stuff around the house and on the porch, lots of commission work as well, and my new bike came today! Christopher was sweet enough to put it together for me:

It’s actually really, REALLY awesome. I love it.

For dinner, I made ham and cheese croissant sandwiches with a coating of melted butter, Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard:

They turned out great!

I’m surprised by how tipsy this got meโ€ฆ I had less than a full can of Rosรฉ. Less than a normal can of soda size. I don’t drink much these days so maybe my tolerance has gone down. I know the Depakote I take for my seizures intensifies the effects of alcohol, always has, but lately, a single mini-bottle of Moscato will do me in. What the heck? Last night I felt the way I do after 3 glasses of wine. Maybe it’s just me getting older.

It’s fine, just annoying because I just have this feeling that no one believes how drunk I actually get/thinks I’m faking it. I think people already thought that when I was practically on the floor at 3 wine glasses. Now I feel halfway there with just this.๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Anyway I can’t keep my eyes open anymore so bedtime it is.

Lawyer Appointment With Mom ๐Ÿ’•

Hello, everyone, how are you? Today my mom and I had an appointment with our immigration lawyer. It went very well. We are working on her case now which looks to be quite easy (hopefully –apparently.)

I’ve been enjoying dressing “fun” again, this was my outfit for today:

I’m really over the moon about this new bag that I got on Teepublic, it goes with a lot of my outfits:

After the lawyer we had a little late lunch. I can’t wait to have my mom here so on some days we can take a leisurely walk to a cafe like this one and have brunch together, and with all she’s done for me, to always be the one treating her. I want to see her smile more, and more easily, and be less tired.

We parted ways at Don Pan. She took a car home, while I walked the two miles to my home:

I got a whole bunch of things at Dollar Tree for the citizenship party on the way. It was hot outside but bearable since I walked in the shade. I happened upon a feisty crow who was probably guarding their nest:

When I got home my friend Al (once my boss, who along with his wife officiated our wedding) was already there. He’s been staying at our house often due to work. Christopher was home early since he’d been to take his second Covid shot, and feeling the first side effects.

After this I just worked on art all day. It was a good day. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy Monday, Friends! โค๏ธ๐Ÿงธ

Hello, everyone! I hope you had a happy day. Mine was alright. I caught up on the warm-ups, read some manga, took care of the snails, was able to track my food and such today (which I’ve been struggling to get back on the wagon with) and went on a walk. I hadn’t tried to dress cute at home for a while, but today I did:

We had milanesas for dinner. My mom prepped them and gave them to me frozen, so I just had to fry them. They were great, but I think we’ve had enough milanesas for a while. I need to cook something I haven’t made in a bit.

I’m pretty excited because Christopher bought me an exercise bike. It’s not super fancy but it ought to do the trick now that the really intense heat and rainy season begins. It’ll be here on Sunday.

The deal is that I have to use it three times a week for a whole year or I have to return it/sell it/donate it. But I already exercise almost every day so, I think I can do it. ๐Ÿ˜

In other news, in less than two hours we will have been married a whole five years. We already celebrated it so it really feels like a normal day which I do not mind. It was a wonderful early celebration. I really feel like the day already passed, so it’s a little odd, almost. ๐Ÿค”

Anyway not much else to say… I have to get ready for bed. I am tired and still so busy. It’ll be a busy week. I hope everyone reading this has a great night!
