A Happy Saturday ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸฆŠ

I had a wonderful Saturday! I hardly know where to begin. One of the best things that happened is that the Little friend I had a sleepover with a while ago reconnected with me. It turned out she wasn’t ghosting me after all, but dealing with some serious issues. She really had had a lovely time during our visit just as I did. So we are trying again.

The funny thing is, on this same day, I was seeing my other Little friend. And I just couldn’t get into a good Little headspace because a part of me was still so sad about my other friend just disappearing. It’s hard to keep opening up when that happens. But right before I was due to meet with Mandie, Shelly showed up at the door and she had a little flower to give me and explained everything to me and wanted to try again and I was so happy I had to try so hard not to cry. Later I gave the flower to Mojito:

Shelly had to go back to work after that, but next time she, Mandie and I are all going to hang out together and have lots of fun. I can’t wait! But now let me tell you about the rest of the day.

After that I was basically walking on air as I got ready and my Little mood came rolling back. I also got Apple Juice ready in a proper seasonal outfit, as he was my companion for the day:

I also dressed up in a Halloweeny outfit for the first time this year:

Soon after I got ready Mandie arrived. Mandie’s outfit was super cute, I’m kicking myself for not taking a picture. Mandie brought her little bear, Trixie. I held them both on my lap for a photo:

Even though they were almost closing, we went to Flamingo Road Nursery. We had time for several cute photos, got a bunch of yummy snacks (like honey sticks, popcorn and pumpkin-shaped cake pops) and we picked some pumpkins too:

After that we just went around town being obnoxious. We went to Dollar Tree and to Starbucks and to Publix for wine. We got Happy Meals and then we went back to the house. There, Christopher had The Nightmare Before Christmas ready to play so as soon as we got there, we sat down to watch it.

Of course, we had our wine in sippy cups…

I was hoping to offer Mandie one of my Halloween sippy cups but they were still in storage.

To my delight, Mandie stayed the night. But I’ve been getting up so early that I was ready to pass out BEFORE 10pm which is like, unbelievably lame. Mandie was a good sport about it. Tomorrow I’m going to decorate the house while she keeps me company.

It’s really been a wonderful day and I hope we have many more like it. ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ’• I’m really happy!

Yard Work ๐Ÿฆ—

Even though I’m not doing okay mentally, I managed to be pretty helpful in the yard without as much whining as I feared I might have done. I ended up in a ton of pain but I helped raking leaves and with Christopher we put down two pallets of sod together. I also did a lot of pressure cleaning.

More than anything I am relieved that considering how I am currently feeling I managed to be cheerful most of the time because I really don’t want to bring my family down with my nonsense, again.

๐Ÿ› Working On The Yard ๐Ÿ›

My mom in law found a cute caterpillar while raking leaves so she let me take him to a safe place. He was such a cutie:

Here’s some video of the little bugger, too:

I really didn’t want to be the first one to tap out (and I only stopped maybe 15 minutes before everyone else, after working since before 8:00am) but I was actually crying by that point because of the terribly pain in my old wrist injury. I think it’ll be okay though.

These photos are from when I came back inside. Almost every area of uncovered skin looked like my arm. ๐Ÿ˜…

Oh yeah –the fridge behind me is the new fridge. It was delivered today. It’s a pretty nice fridge.

Here are some photos of our freshly sodded and pressure cleaned yard and house. The first pallet had some kinda bad squares, but Christopher said it will all grow in very nicely.

After going back in, I showered and sat down to relax for a bit. I had a package to open.

๐ŸŽˆ Birthday Present From Drake ๐ŸŽˆ

My friend Drake sent me a really fancy birthday present! It’s a very cute (but very good, it’s not a toy) crayon sharpener. I hope to use it on the next Little playdate.

Mojito was admiring it too!

Thank you Drakey for such a very lovely present. ๐Ÿ’•โœจ

๐Ÿฐ Scrapbooking Time ๐Ÿฐ

After that I worked a bit on my scrapbook and watched Crayon Shin-Chan. Mignon wanted to watch so I prepared his little chair for him to sit on.

And that was that for the day. Eventually I began working on chores. Grandma made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. The day didn’t end on a bad note. Perhaps I’ll cheer up tomorrow, I’m going to try!

It’s New Year’s Eve Eve! โœจ

Lately, as in the past few months (or maybe itโ€™s been during the duration of the pandemic?) my motivation for really basic things like doing my chores, showering, going out for a walk, has been really low. Itโ€™s almost painful. I still do these things every day just as I should. But itโ€™s hard.

Today I had to go grocery shopping, it couldnโ€™t be put off anymore. So I made myself get up and shower early, and did all the chores I could in the morning, and off I went, and got it done, and now I already have everything put away so that’s a relief.

Tomorrow we will make burgers and hot dogs and greet the New Year with people from “our bubble” that we have either been hanging out with already, or Christopher has been seeing due to work. I got chips and dips and drinks. I’m excited to end the year on a high note.

Last night I was really at a loss as to what to make for dinner. We were out of most things. But I defrosted some beef, substituted onions for shallots and butter for margarine, and with Mojito’s help somehow managed to scrounge up meatballs with mac ‘n cheese for Christopher.

Yesterday I got a huge number of posts moved from Instagram to the blog. It’s still such a small amount… from almost 2,000 posts I am down to 1,778. You may think it’s a pointless thing to do, but Instagram was my diary. I want to get away from that toxic atmosphere without losing all those memories.

Today, though, I have a Zoom call with my mom and commissions to work on. I leave you with some slimy bois:

It’s A Cold Tuesday Morning โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Good morning! It’s cold again. Yesterday I got everything on my list done, and more! Winter Friends YCHs are shaded, more presents wrapped, and not only did I finish the line art for ODU, but I finished the whole design! And I did go to Homegoods, and got a Christmas mug, as well as a Christmas glass for my milk:

This morning I discovered that Mojito had helped Sarah carry Buddy down so he could have his cinnamon and move again:

I’m really glad that he is okay, though I miss them in my studio already.

Goals for today would be, prepare some Trellos, finish the Winter Friends YCH background, and flat several commissions. I also really need to get my last couple of Code: Realize entries posted before my memory of those playthroughs fades.

Welcome, Tostito! ๐Ÿง€๐Ÿญ๐ŸŒˆ

My new mouse, Tostito, arrived today! His new sweater arrived just in time too. ๐Ÿฅ It’s from https://www.etsy.com/shop/halandmacy

There was also another, tinier sweater. I didnโ€™t know who I would give it to. It ended up fitting Mojito perfectly! ๐Ÿฆ–๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’•

Today was busy and good. I did a lot of chores, worked on art, and worked on my bookโ€™s timeline on Scrivener:

In the evening, Christopher ordered a pizza and let me order miga sandwiches and potato salad from Buenos Aires Bakery. This time they didnโ€™t botch my order. It was delicious!

Later I spent about two hours cleaning the snail tanks. I took many nice photos, theyโ€™re always super active and give me great poses after the weekly clean. But, Iโ€™ll save those for a different post.

Tomorrow I need to plan some meals, go grocery shopping, and work on commissions. What are your weekend plans?
