I’ve had my little bear, MoonPie, for quite some time now. I wanted to find an actual Moon Pie to give him for a photo, but for the longest time, I couldn’t. But the today I finally did!
So yeah… that’s it… just a photo of MoonPie with a Moon Pie, which by the way, are vastly inferior to Argentinean alfajores. I really don’t like Moon Pies all that much. Lol. But it makes for such a cute stuffie name!
Today was my neurologist appointment. There’s a lot of stuff about that I’ll be going into detail in an upcoming post, because I’m so tired.
After the appointment I experienced the worst headache of my life. Like “I think I am dying” bad. Somehow, I was okay an hour later. Which I can only compare to pain like, breaking your leg in three places and being okay an hour later. It was an odd feeling. The pain still had me somewhat nauseous, so I wasn’t very hungry, but I hated to cancel our date night plans, so off we went to Nami. I brought MoonPie along:
Nami in Miramar is still taking COVID pretty seriously and is one of the few places I feel comfortable dining out at. So I didn’t want to give up the chance as I treasure these outings with my husband.
The food was good, I just didn’t feel so great so I didn’t eat as much as other times. Plus the headache episode was so unbelievably frightening that I was just, rattled overall, and wondering in the back of my head, still, if I should be in the restaurant or the ER. Haha…
I had Buddha Tofu as usual. Later we played Tetris. It was a lovely night as they always are. I enjoy our date nights immensely.
Todayโs my birthday! I finally got to open the box with my birthday bear on it (Wilfy, whom Iโve named Toby). The outfit I put together for him fit him really well! I think heโs got to be one of the nicest Charlie Bears I have ever seen.
I also got to open the gift from my friend Riley. The second Escargot book! Itโs so cute and I canโt wait to read it with Christopher. These picture books really are a must for any snail lover.
I really wasnโt expecting to get to go anywhere today. Though I was so happy to get my new bear, it was a really sad and also very stressful day. Iโm gonna go into more details about that in a later post.
But our friend Kris very generously offered to take us out both to distract us and to celebrate my birthday. He let me pick anywhere I wanted. That was a huge treat as well as seeing two of my best friends. It really made a bad day end a lot better. It felt a little odd to dress up to go out given the circumstances but I tried to be kind to myself.
I hadnโt put together an outfit in a while and Iโm really happy with this one. I took MoonPie along:
We went to The Tavern. Our table was lovely, next to the fireplace, but the light also made it hard to get a good picture, as you could tell in the photo:
I had a fancy drink:
Sorry the photos are so bad, the light was really poor as I said… anyhow, it was a nice enough evening after such a day. Now Iโm 37. Happy Birthday to me!
Good morning everyone! I’m spending a happy morning on the porch over here, with MoonPie and all our cats:
Watching the blue jays eat corn and the squirrel eat critter mix (theyโre eating from different feeders.) Drinking my favorite coffee, listening to music, reading a good book, working on art… feels good. How are you spending your Sunday?
I realized that I never posted this photo from back when I went to the park last September. It seems like forever ago. I miss going out. ๐ Iโm wearing a onesie I designed for ODU in this photo!
How is your day going? I worked a bit on the Little Tails Bazaar website (youโre not going to see anything yet, the Etsy thing is temporary anyway, it wonโt be an Etsy store.) I had lunch and also worked on commissions. What are you doing today? ๐
Iโm really comfy wearing one of the first designs I created for Onesies Downunder. Very fond of this design! โ ๏ธ๐จ๐ ๐ป
Flan kept me company while I worked on the porch ๐ป
Then it was gaming time with MoonPie! ๐ ๐ป
I finished two commissions and did most of my chores so I guess I earned some fun, relaxing time. ๐ฎ
This one is from last Thursday. I started a stuffie bead necklace giveaway just around then, and decided to go for a walk to get more beads, and to get some stuff for dinner because Christopher was sick in bed. Had my TamagotchiOn with the cover that muninahandmade made and using a lovely lanyard by my dear friend Blankit.
I also got a little stimmy Halloween ball:
Recently I spent a night recently with Christopher watching horror movies (Midsommar and Hereditaryโฆ awesome movies but can get fairly disturbing and gory for sure!) I had peppermint mocha espresso on ice, MoonPie for company, and my TamagotchiOn which I’m really carrying around everywhere these days.
I found an awesome guy to marry one of Kuromametchiโs twins, the one on the left here. Super goth girl looking and I am so pleased because you canโt marry the same gender in this game, so as my friend put it โgay enough for meโ. I was very happy!
A beautiful fountain at the mall. The water was pink!!
My ex-boss and friend (who along with his wife officiated our wedding!) took us out to dinner as a thank-you for having him as our guest for a week. The fountain at the outdoor mall was pink!
I couldn’t resist a selfie…
What else… Iโve discovered a meal I like a lot kinda by accident. Tuna with a bit of mayo, whatever salad I have on hand (usually spinach or an arugula mix) hard taco shells and a few olives, in this case tuna stuffed olives. It was very good!
Here’s some stuff for my plush bunny thatโs coming in the mail tomorrow:
Today I went to the park with MoonPie! I have lots of photos to share.
This place is called Tree Tops Park and it was beyond wonderful! ๐ ๐งธ
There were notices to be careful of snakes and alligators near anyplace that had water, pretty much!
Beautiful lake near the entrance! I have to trim the fur near MoonPieโs eye cause it looks like heโs missing an eye in some photos, haha.
At the lake there were these wonderful boats with very cool shapes. You can rent a boat on weekends or holidays:
Not gonna lie, the rubber ducky boat was my favorite!
More exploring!
Found the way to the marsh! But we will come back to explore that later.
Hmm… which way should we go?
We found many berry bushes!
These are just a few of the poisonous plants in the park! We assumed everything to be poisonous and didnโt touch anything (well, MoonPie touched some things but heโs a bear so his fur protects him.)
The viewing tower was incredible!
It looked like something out of a storybook.
A nice mossy log.
A hole to hide in!
We found a friendly message all the way up the tower!
Found a weird little graffiti…
This is the marsh! It was really big. We looked and looked for alligators but didnโt see any.
Look at the little turtle head!! There were lots of turtles and catfish!
When I say a lot of turtles I mean it! ๐ข ๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข
So big and peaceful… we couldnโt have picked a more lovely day for our excursion!
MoonPie found more berries.
A pretty flower on the marsh. I was actually holding MoonPie over the water and I think he was a little scared a turtle was gonna bite him.
I couldnโt get enough of taking photos of him next to berries! It was too cute!
This is where we reached the end of the trail, coming to a resting spot.
There were some nice mossy trees in this area!
This large plant was full of the tiniest bug bites.
MoonPie climbed lots of trees!
Arenโt these leaves such a nice and bright shade of green?
Finally we stopped for a break. I was very glad I listened to Christopher and had water and a snack with me.
He really stood out among the ferns!
More tree climbing!
This photo isnโt very good. The sun was too bright. But it was nice to take a photo in the playground.
After we got home I had a spooky snack!
This was an utterly wonderful outing. I can’t believe such a treasure of a park is so close to where we live and I didn’t even know it. I’m so excited to go again!
