Happy Easter Week! ๐Ÿฃ๐ŸŒผ

Happy Easter, everyone! This was a very fun week, especially the weekend. I went kayaking, decorated for Easter, did some relaxing kiddy activities, got some new toys, and saw a sunflower field among other things! So I have lots to share. I hope you enjoy this post and that your Easter weekend was wonderful! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฃ

๐Ÿฃ Monday ๐Ÿฃ

Today I was a bit under the weather. My throat was bothering me (I tested negative for COVID). I spent a lot of the day in bed, sleeping lots, after a totally sleepless night due to coughing. Tomoyo kept me company and our partner got me lunch. By the evening I felt better.

Once I was feeling a bit better I took care of the snail tank. It was fun to watch them soaking and enjoying their fresh water bowl:

๐Ÿฃ Tuesday ๐Ÿฃ

Tuesday was a blah day. I got work done and I played video games, and I’ll share the gaming stuff on a separate post so I don’t have much to say about today.

At around 5:00pm Christopher called me on his way home from work and as I was laying there on the phone call I noticed a pink “soot” firmly stuck to my sweater, under my arm no less. I’m not sure when it got there. It was one of the ones on the stairs banister though.

๐Ÿฃ Wednesday ๐Ÿฃ

I walked to Target to get these guys today. The moment I saw them online I knew I had to have them. I’m a sucker for toys with plastic heads, and they are the perfect size to carry around with me! Plus I can decorate their carry bags with pins and patches! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๐ŸŒŸ

I’m going to call them Jello (Rodian) Cookie (Wookie) and Dusty (Ewok). They come with really cute cards to write their name and personaly traits!

On my way back from Target I got another photo of the building demolition. The first building is all gone, and soon this one will be gone, too:

At one point both Christopher and Kotoko came to visit me in my studio while I worked on commissions. They are so cute together.

Today’s dinner was panko-crusted tilapia!

๐Ÿฃ Thursday ๐Ÿฃ

I completed the Easter decor today!

A blue “soot” appears to have reached the chandelier…

I hadn’t brought out all the bunnies in a couple of years, so it was nice to see them again:

One chore I wanted to get done before bedtime was the tank clean and food change, and I managed it. I also gave the snails a lot of calcium mush and they lost their minds over it as usual:

๐Ÿฃ Friday ๐Ÿฃ

This morning I got up VERY early (around 5:00am) because I wanted plenty of time to do all my chores, finish a commission and make some necklaces too. I made necklaces for almost all my toys that didn’t have them. Below you can see Toklo’s and Bluey’s!

After I was done with that, Jello helped me decorate my marker box:

It turned out pretty cute. I put Umaru-Chan, Bluey, Doraemon and Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid stickers on it:

By 3:00pm we were on the road. I felt pretty cute with my outfit on this day and having a brand new friend to bring along.

One of my favorite things that fill me with kiddy feels, on the rare occasions when there is a remote chance of a toy I’ll like, is to get a Happy Meal when leaving on a long car trip! And since they have the Sonic toys right now, I had one:

Both the burger and fries were GREAT. It was one of those rare times when you get really fresh and perfect ones. I let Jello have a bite:

I had a special treat after my Happy Meal, a Super Mario Wonder Ball! You can’t find these easily anymore.

When we got to my mom-in-law’s house, there was a wonderful dinner of nachos waiting for us. Then we had some drinks (I had a really fancy gin and lime tonic) and played Jenga and Yatzee!

I went to bed with Jello and Pokรฉmon Sword until the guys came and we had our usual anime time (still watching Tenchi Muyo).

It was a very pleasant end to our day. ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿฃ Saturday ๐Ÿฃ

I was both excited and apprehensive for this day. It would be my first time kayaking. I’m pretty clumsy, and I can’t swim. They had a life jacket for me and I would be riding tandem with our partner, but had a lot of worries about dragging him down by being dense and slow to learn.

The first step was to bring our kayaks down, close to the water.

Already, I was really impressed by the view, and got many pictures:

This photo of my two guys is one of my favorites that I got today as they were fooling around and joking together. It’s gonna go on my desk for sure.

Then it was time to set off!

As it turns out, I did really well once I got the hang of it. I was proud of that. I could paddle really fast, too!

These photos were taken right after we came out of the river all wobbly-legged. ๐Ÿ˜ต

Christopher and I had to sit and watch the kayaks. While we waited for everyone to come back, I played in the playground for a bit since it was empty:

Even Christopher got on the swings for a short while:

Once home, we showered, and really were too tired for anything other than lazing around on the couch, occasionally drinking and eating, which was very pleasant. My mom-in-law bought ingredients for us to make our own pizzas which was fun. Here’s mine.

The bacon was burnt, but that’s just how I like it! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅ“

๐Ÿฃ Sunday ๐Ÿฃ

Today, of course, is Easter! Happy Easter, once again, to all. We had lunch at Grandma’s before finally heading home and relaxing. In the morning our partner walked with me to the sunflower field I’d seen near the entrance of my mom-in-law’s neighborhood. Sunflowers are my favorite flower, so I really wanted to take a picture of Jello next to them. Jello is very photogenic:

Aren’t they just so pretty? Sunflowers really make me happy.

After we got home and I unpacked all of our suitcases, took care of our pets and got everyone’s laundry going, I sat down for a snack and a couple of Easter treats. One was an egg I snuck from Grandma’s. It had an unexpected surprise inside!

Unfortunately it wasn’t… super edible… but it was very cute, don’t you think?

Anyway, tomorrow is a really exciting day for me. The first wave of Jurassic World: Dominion toys is officially released, and Christopher is allowing me to buy a whole bunch of them –but I can’t have any yet. Basically, I will be buying my own Christmas and birthday presents all in advance, and that is a-ok by me. I am so excited to go both to Target and Walmart and you can bet I will be at the Target door anywhere from a half hour to an hour prior to opening.

I’ll post photos of my haul before it is stored away, of course I can’t open anything but that will be fine. I’ll get excited all over again twice this year!

Welcome, April! ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒˆโ˜”

Happy April, everyone! Boy, this was one stressful week, but it did have good moments regardless. Not only was our house painted this week, but we cleaned the back porch (a grueling task every time as you might recall) I was on my period for half the week, had to do our taxes, go to an appointment at the Social Security Administration office, I visited my mom to celebrate her birthday, and went on a couple of outings with my husband and our partner.

This is my sorry face

So if you are among the multiple people I’ve left on read these past few days… I am so sorry, and you are still on my mind, and not forgotten… it’s been a heck of a week… I’ll be catching up with messages as the week rolls on.

I also played a lot of Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ (I’m on Cantarella’s story right now) and we are watching Tenchi Muyo so I felt the above GIF was appropiate. ^_^

๐ŸŒˆ Monday ๐ŸŒˆ

Monday was fairly quiet. I worked on commissions and did housework, but was a bit subdued due to my period. Our house began to be prepped for painting on this day.

For lunch, I made toasted rice balls for our partner and I. He’d never had them before.

Got to use my new Bluey plate, cutlery and bowl, so that made me happy.

And speaking of Bluey –here is a coloring book I got recently:

The pages are kinda thin, so I’ll just scan and reprint on thicker paper when I want to color it. This is actually how I preserve most of my coloring books, including many vintage ones!

๐ŸŒˆ Tuesday ๐ŸŒˆ

Tuesday was the Social Security appointment (for my name change). It went smoothly, other than the security guard at the entrance being so intimidating towards everyone, especially older people who could not understand English nor understand what was going on. Even though inside plenty of signage indicates accommodating if you need an interpreter, the officer was aggressive and angry towards these poor mostly Latin people who barely spoke English and were so confused and even frightened by his demeanor. ๐Ÿ˜

Once that was done, I walked to Target. I saw these traffic cones on the way that grass had grown right through. Seems the grass around them was mowed without the cones being moved a few times. I thought it looked interesting enough for a picture:

By the time I got home, a lot of progress had been done on the house painting. Here is a before and after at that point in time (I’ll have a final update next week):

I didn’t have much time to admire the house. I had to finish all my chores, and pack, and then our partner drove me to my mom’s. She and I went to dinner pretty soon after I got there to celebrate her birthday:

I had primavera pizza! It’s my favorite because it has egg:

Once we got home, my mom opened her birthday present. Christopher bought her a laptop (her computer was ANCIENT). She was really happy –Sweeney tested it immediately! Meanwhile, Shampoo enjoyed laying on a crinkly paper bag. To each their own.

๐ŸŒˆ Wednesday ๐ŸŒˆ

Wednesday was my mom and I’s usual peaceful morning of TV, mate, and conversation. I also drew and played a bit of Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ here and there.

Gumdrop had his first taste of mate!

My mom had a really big surprise for me! She was able to find my favorite childhood cookies, which I have not had for over twenty years!

They have zodiac signs on them:

A close similar cookie was Pepperidge Farm’s chessmen chocolate cookies, but I think they were discontinued in my area a long time ago. I can’t find them anywhere anymore. Anyway, my mom got me like three bags of these, so that was a wonderful surprise!

For Wednesday night dinner, my mom made fries (my favorite)!

As if that weren’t enough, she made a legit Argentinean bizcochuelo for dessert, another big treat. The mix was yet another childhood favorite that she was able to acquire recently through a shopping service.

After dinner, my guys picked me up. At home I had yet another wonderful surprise waiting for me! At first I couldn’t find Yoshi anywhere and I was sure our partner had hidden him or placed him in some sort of unfortunate situation, as he tends to do to my toys. But Yoshi turned out to be waiting for me on my desk, and he was holding the Limited Run visual novel I’ve been begging Christopher for!

It’s The House In Fata Morgana. I’ve heard many good things about it.

That, and watching TV and cuddling all together, made for a wonderful end to my day.

๐ŸŒˆ Thursday ๐ŸŒˆ

I forgot to share this other surprise my mom gave me during my visit! Last time she got me the Mafalda figure and magazine. This time it was Manolito:

On Thursday I walked to Target to pick up an online order. I wanted to get one of these dino clickers, mostly as a desk fidget toy. His head and legs click when you move them. He’s really cute.

For date night, I made another massive snack spread, while the guys continued playing Kirby and I watched. Didn’t get quite so drunk on this day, but it was still a nice time.

Also, on this day, more engines arrived!

They are so, SO well made, utterly perfect in every way! I received Thomas, Percy, Gordon, and my favorite boy, James!

The facial expressions are great; Percy’s in particular is hilarious:

I wish they’d given James his angry face, but I love them all.

Can’t wait to get my hands on Henry, and Cranky when they remake him too.

๐ŸŒˆ Friday ๐ŸŒˆ

Since we had our date night in on Thursday, Friday was our day out. First we went out to ramen!

The atmosphere outside was spooky. Not only was it rainy, but the Everglades were on fire, and you could clearly see the smoke amidst the clouds. Our car was covered in ash!

After lunch we went to Monster MiniGolf. It was really fun! We took this photo of one of the animatronics:

I don’t even know who won. I just know it wasn’t me and I had lots of fun. Before going home, we passed by Dollar Tree, where I got a couple of Arthur puzzles, a giant dinosaur coloring book, and a velvet dino coloring stand:

I also got a little bandana for my Grogu:

Then we went home to bed and watched TV for ages, it was very cozy. ๐Ÿฅฐ

๐ŸŒˆ Saturday ๐ŸŒˆ

Saturday was exhausting. I did lots of chores, and helped a bit with the porch cleaning (I did a bigger amount of that yesterday, but on Friday our partner did most of the remaining cleaning). Then I put all the furniture back. It looks wonderful, even if it was a lot of work:

I also redecorated the litter box area a bit. ๐Ÿ˜ธ Some things still need to be hung back up (a lot was taken down due to the painting) but there’s only so much time in a single week…

The porch and chores such as laundry basically took my entire day, but I was able to relax a little in the evening.

๐ŸŒˆ Sunday ๐ŸŒˆ

On Sunday our partner and I went on a little solo date, it’s not a common occurrence since we generally prefer to do everything the three of us together, but Christopher had been desperately craving some alone time to just veg at home without us being our usual obnoxious selves around him. ๐Ÿ˜…

We went to the Perez Art Museum Miami, and to Wynwood for lunch and a little ice cream. We saw some cool stuff but I didn’t get any photos other than these:

After that we were on a quest to find fancy soaps, which we didn’t find, but I got these cool crayons:

Then I made dinner and we just relaxed. That was the end to a week that was at times fun, at times stressful, but good overall, as most weeks have been lately. There’s a lot of love in our home and I feel very lucky, even if things are hectic sometimes and it seems like we never stop doing things. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just A Bit Left Of March ๐ŸŒทโœจ

Happy Sunday, everyone! More and more, you can feel spring in the air. Of course, with it also approaches hurricane season, and since it’s Florida, unbearable heat. Still, I try to find enjoyment in the changes.

This was a very busy week. Less art got done, but it was productive in other ways. I felt pretty unwell and cranky on the weekend due to my period and the hecticness that surrounded it, but I’m trying to do my best.

๐ŸŒˆ Monday ๐ŸŒˆ

Monday I worked on art, on chores, played a little more of my Code: Realize fandisc, and I went out for a long walk. The weather was lovely, I felt pretty happy.

I had a pretty colorful outfit on this day, which included one of the designs I created myself for ODU:

During my walk, a tree I often come across was in full bloom, the floor completely covered in its flowers. It was a pretty sight.

At the store I got a new drying mat since our current one doesn’t really match the kitchen:

And, as it often happens when the spring items come out, I got my hands on two snail items! A decorative towel…

…and my favorite, a little welcome stone! I placed it next to all the other snail things:

I walked for like three hours, and came home starving. So I had a snack of crackers with pate and cheese, strawberries, and a little wine:

I also acquired these hilarious little alien things to have fun with later during the week:

Here’s a little random something from last week which I forgot to share. Diesel arrived! The box he came in is really, really nice:

The face design is wonderful, it’s very encouraging to see how much they’ve listened to customer feedback on the new line.

Next week the others should be arriving, I’m very excited about that.

๐ŸŒˆ Tuesday ๐ŸŒˆ

On Tuesday I placed an order for some items I want to bring during the (sometimes quite long) car rides that happen every weekend. My husband and our partner always sit in the front, so I’m a bit bored in the back seat. I do love the seating arrangement, as it makes me feel very small and happy. It definitely appeals to my inner child. But I want to make it more fun and cozy to be there, and to that end, I ordered these things:

I also got a pink trash container (not pictured). The other things, as you can see, are a seatbelt cover (because it really digs into my shoulder sometimes) a lap desk for my iPad/coloring books/sketchbooks, etc, and an organizer with a little tray. You’ll see a bit further down how I used it.

On this day the little aliens or “soots” as Christopher calls them began popping up all over the house:

They are still being discovered ๐Ÿ˜

Also, two games arrived. The one I am most excited about is the collector’s edition of Rune Factory 5! And the other one is Grow: Song Of The Evertree.

๐ŸŒˆ Wednesday ๐ŸŒˆ

I can tell in retrospective that Wednesday is the day I started to get REALLY cranky from PMS. I think we were all cranky this week, and I feel that it is my own crankiness kinda being passed around like a cold, so I feel responsible. ๐Ÿ˜ž But good things happened anyway.

First, I have a very cute photo of Kotoko being harassed:

We went to a very flat and blah park on this day. It did have an interesting rock formation, so at least I took a photo of that:

The park was otherwise boring and not one I want to return to. But this was the first time our partner made an attempt at running since hurting his ankle so badly, and the fact that he could do it without issues was a major highlight of the day as it had been a lingering worry all this time.

In the evening, I felt too crappy to make dinner, so I whined my way into having another Happy Meal while the Mario Kart toys are still available, and this was provided, in spite of me being such a pain in the ass this week. It cheered me up a lot.

For the toy, I got Peach!

๐ŸŒˆ Thursday ๐ŸŒˆ

Thursday I went on my longest walk of the week. I walked for about three and a half hours. Here’s a squirrel I saw on the way to Walmart:

On the way back, it had started to sprinkle. These crows were eager to drink the drops, and stood with their beaks open and heads upturned:

I got a few things at Walmart. A black dress, a Yu Yu Hakusho shirt for me and a Cowboy Bebop one for Christopher (Walmart is getting to be really good for anime shirts) some bows, a new blanket and a Turning Red blind box:

I was hoping to get Mei’s panda form but I got this… oh well lol.

After I got home we went out to dinner and then to a huge liquor store to get wine for tomorrow.

๐ŸŒˆ Friday ๐ŸŒˆ

Friday evening was really nice! It was the long awaited Kirby release day. As soon as Christopher got home, I had a spread of snacks and wine and his coffee all set up.

It was just him and our partner playing co-opt while I watched and drank my entire bottle of wine, but that suited me fine!

Rosie joined us:

The game was my mom’s birthday present for Christopher. He really liked it.

Once they were done playing and my bottle of wine was totally polished off, I went to drunkenly make dinner. I made way too much and destroyed the kitchen in the process, but it was pretty good:

๐ŸŒˆ Saturday ๐ŸŒˆ

Saturday was our weekly adventure day, and a LOT of fun! I got to use my new little setup for the first time. Now I can play my Switch without getting car sick:

You can’t see it here, but my little pink trash can hangs from the other seat. I also have a colorful pillow and my blanket in the back seat, and a coloring book in the pocket of the passenger seat. It feels very cozy.

The first stop was lunch. I had a hot dog. Christopher even went to the car to get Mignon for me so I could take this picture. When he does little things like that for me it makes me so happy.

Next stop was a record store, where Christopher bought me this World Of Warcraft soundtrack CD and Free To Be You And Me vinyl record:

We walked around a sorta ritzy but pretty dead mall. It made for some nice liminal pictures:

After that we went to Barnes & Noble. It was a particularly nice B&N, with TONS of toys. I bought this book while we were there:

As a lover of their Seekers bear series, I was very excited to find another Erin Hunter series about bears. But when I began to flip through it, after purchase, I noticed a vibe that was much more Warriors than Seekers. I guess we will see.

When he and my husband came back to find me, our partner had a little flower for me. I later gave the flower to Mignon. Unfortunately for my bunny, the flower had multiple ant residents, which then became residents of Mignon.

After the bookstore we went to a wonderful vintage toy store. I was too tired by this point to get pics, though.

At home I had an early dinner with Mignon and played a bit more of the Code Realize fandisc.

Mignon got into the cookies…

Overall a pleasant and happy Saturday. Today ended up being super stressful though, since our entire house is being repainted. The painters are coming tomorrow, so today was dedicated to moving anything that can be in their way. I also spent hours working on my bookkeeping, for taxes, had cramps all day, and this week I have an appointment with the social security office and I have to pack to visit my mom for her birthday.

It was a cranky and tiring day for the three of us and I guess this coming week may be a bit stressful still. So art may be slower and I may be quieter overall. Please bear with me.

I’ll see you next week with another weekly summary post, or maybe sooner if I can manage to sneak a post in!

Markham Park Again! And A New Friend ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿป

Today was a lovely day. For starters, my new Charlie Bear came in. As you guys know, it is exceedingly rare that I get new Charlie Bears anymore these days. So it is nice to know they still have that uncanny ability to bring me to tears upon first hug. I can never really explain why. They are so cute, I feel such joy, that I tear up a little when I first hold them…

Maybe itโ€™s a dopamine overloadโ€ฆ who knows? Anyway, his name is Toklo, if you get the reference, you get a virtual cookie. Toklo is bigger than he looks here next to my hand. He’s a very nice bear. I’m deeply grateful to my friend Luca for helping me acquire him.

We went to Markham Park again for today’s walk. This time we went deeper into the forest, it felt like a real adventure, and I took lots of pics!

At one point we came across these paintings on some trees…

Here are some cute little mushrooms we spotted. When I see these, I can’t help but think that they look like little awnings for a fairy window…

I also took a few seconds of video.

Ok now this is dumb, but on the way back we spotted a car which my partner pointed out looked exactly like a little vampire car face, fangs and all. So I had to take a picture.

If you see it, you can’t unsee it.

And now I am home. Still many chores to do, just having some strawberry milk before I get back to it.

Tomorrow we are going to yet another park, but this time Christopher is joining us! I’m so excited that we finally enticed him to come along. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’• I’ll be sure to post lots of photos of that too (and this time probably bring along a bear friend!)

First Outing With Mandie And Shelly! ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‚

In between commission work and my life just being… overall, well, interesting/busy, blogging has been more in the back of my mind. As such, I’ve accumulated quite a few posts of happenings and things to share. Life has been a lot of fun, in multiple ways, and other than my recent griping about pretty inconsequential stuff at the end of the day, I’ve had a lot of reasons to feel happy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

One of the recent fun things I got to do is a first outing with both of my friends, Mandie and Shelly, at the same time. It was so much fun –and too short, but I had so much to do in the evening. Even as we got home, Mandie and Shelly sat with me as I began to work on dinner, and at least I spent a few more minutes with them that way.

It’s actually completely alien to me, to be cooking while talking with two girl friends. It felt really nice.

We went to Flamingo Road Nursery, where Mandie and I went recently. Since we went too late last time and Shelly had never been, and we wanted to go on a hayride, it was a natural choice while that sort of event is still going on. As soon as we got there, we went straight to the hayride area:

I decided to bring Frito with me that day. I’d never taken him out before. Here he is waiting while we got our tickets:

And here are Mandie and Shelly! We felt just like little kids sitting on the hay with our stuffies and our feet hanging off the side.

Here are lots of scarecrow photos I took during the ride:

Shelly took a photo of me and Frito too:

After that, we walked around the nursery for a bit, and I took this photo of Frito among the sunflowers:

Then we had lunch in the cafe and made plans for afterwards: Starbucks and a bookstore. I took this photo in the cafe, before leaving, of our three stuffies together:

I meant to share a huge, amazing bookstore with Mandie and Shelly, and somehow directed us somewhere else by mistake. But this place, while much smaller, was too a treasure, and a lot of fun. Mandie and Shelly got multiple books, but as I’ve been quite broke, I just picked up a $1 book from the sale rack outside:

This place had truly wonderful finds, but the prices were $20 or so for anything worthwhile… that’s a little rough.

Anyway, it was loads of fun, and we already have plans for next time. I’m looking forward to it! ๐Ÿฅฐ

A Happy Little Sleepover ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ How was your weekend? The LAN is over now, everyone is going home. My friend Shelly just left and so our sleepover is over as well. We had soooo much fun together! We colored, built a puzzle, played board games, watched cartoons and a Disney movie and ordered Happy Meals! It was the best night ever. I want to tell you all about it on this post.

๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ Saturday Evening๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ

Last night, before Shelly got here, I got everything ready with Ricky Parky standing guard over our many snacks, coloring books, board games and puzzles! It was a magnificent spread.

I hadn’t brought down my crayons and coloring things in quite some time. It was nostalgic seeing them again. ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ’•

(Umโ€ฆ Iโ€™d rather you keep watch over the snacks from a distance, Rickyโ€ฆ)

I had our first movie all ready to watch. The Great Mouse Detective. I hadnโ€™t seen it in ages! Itโ€™s Shellyโ€™s favorite, and I like it a lot too.

After this movie I introduced Shelly to Bluey. She loved it! Always good to indoctrinate new people into the Bluey cult, lol.

As soon as Shelly arrived, we ordered the perfect Disney movie night/sleepover mealโ€ฆ Happy Meals for dinner!

I ordered a cheeseburger and Shelly had nuggets. For our toy, we both got Lola!

After eating we began coloring while continuing to watch our movie. I colored one of my vintage printed coloring pages:

It was so nice to touch and smell my crayons again and to just, make positive memories to replace bad ones. The whole evening was a healing experience for me. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

When we were ready to take a break from coloring, we played the Lucky Ducks game which was really silly and fun!

The pond board even quacked! The mechanism is so loud though, lol.

This photo of Shelly it’s my favorite of the night because it’s so cute:

The game was a bit dumb (in that, there was no real challenge but it was cute and fun regardless and we enjoyed putting the stickers on the ducks. ๐Ÿฆ† Basically each of you gets a shape. The shapes are in the duck’s bottoms. On your turn, you pick a duck. If it’s your shape, you keep it. If it’s not, you have to show it to the other players before returning it to the pond. The first player to find 3 ducks with their shape wins.

After Lucky Ducks we played the Mystery Garden game:

I like this game a lot! One player plays the Gardener. That player grabs a card, looks at it and hides it. The card shows something in the board. It could be the pumpkins, the dragon, the sun, etc. The other players have to guess what it is by asking “yes” or “no” questions.

Each time the players get a question wrong, the Gardener can move a step on the board. If you guess the card, you get to keep it. The first player to get three cards wins. You take turns being the gardener.

Then we put together a puzzle! Iโ€™ve had this puzzle, a gift from
my friend Kitty (AKA Blankit) for the longest time, but there was never a good occasion to put it together until now.

We had fun building it and had some pretty deep discussions while doing just that. It turns out we had a lot more in common than we realized (including some sad things –but realizing that doesn’t make me sad, it makes me feel so much less alone. Ironically those conversations were the most important part of our time together.)

Here is the puzzle, all done!

I liked that the pieces were big. ๐Ÿ˜ I’m not very good at puzzles.

๐ŸŒž๐Ÿฅฃ๐ŸŒˆ Sunday Morning ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿฅฃ๐ŸŒˆ

This morning we colored a little more and watched Bluey and Courage The Cowardly Dog! Just some relaxing kiddy time before Shelly was picked up. It was really pleasant.

I didn’t get to finish my coloring because I do so many layers. Maybe next time!

Here’s a photo of Shelly coloring. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

It was such a lovely time and I canโ€™t wait for Shelly to visit again. It was everything I hoped it would be. Iโ€™m so happy today!

Tres Leches Has Mooved In! ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฅ›

SHE’S HERE!! Sheโ€™s actually here! ๐Ÿ˜ญโœจ I didnโ€™t think I would like her as much as Maplenut but sheโ€™s even better crafted, my goodness! She feels like you could grab her by a paw and twirl her over your head and sheโ€™d be just fine! Very sturdy for being one of the โ€œplayโ€ย Charlie Bears.

Starting to dress her up…

I ended up using clothes I already had. She wonโ€™t be needing shoes.

I love her horn ribbons more than anything else! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’• I really really adore her to bits.

Last picture for the night, Tres Leches with her strawberry bell โ€œearringsโ€! ๐Ÿ”” ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿ’•

Thanks again toย thebubblegumbeadcompany on Instagram/Etsyย for the bells.

Megaplex 2019 Wrap-Up

I’ve been busy having fun at Megaplex! It’s the last day of the con for me, so… time for a wrap-up!

Yesterday I got to go to the Crayola store with my friend Snow. It was actually our first outing just the two of us so it felt pretty special. I got a pretty nice haul:

A cute plate, freezer blocks for my Crayola lunch bag, a lanyard and a pen, a cute metal tag, an adorable little plush-blanky crayon, pink crayon socks, a very colorful cup and a patch for my jacket although I forgot to include that in the photo. ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿ„๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’•

Snow and I had lunch at a little noodle bar in the Florida Mall.

It was really good! Iโ€™ll have to check if thereโ€™s one down in Pembroke Pines.

Look how cute my new bag is!! Itโ€™s lovingly handmade and featuring a print designed by my adorable little friend Kitty (AKA Blankit). You can still go to her table in the dealerโ€™s den tomorrow and get your own!

She has several super adorable designs! Also featured in this photo are nerd badges by Madshy who has an amazing variety this year, this is literally the best her table has EVER been, go throw your money at her!! Youโ€™ll find her right next to Blankit.

The badge in the middle was done by ColbyHedgey on FA who isnโ€™t vending but has the absolutely cutest art ever and you should also be throwing your money at her for commissions! Sheโ€™s fantastic!!

It was apparently this doggoโ€™s birthday judging by his hat.

Itโ€™s ok, pup, getting older itโ€™s not that bad.

This was actually the first photo I took during this con, of Maplenut next to some of the biggest mushrooms Iโ€™ve ever seen!

For reference, Maplenut is like 18โ€ tall. I was impressed.

Here is Maplenut on another photo from Thursday, when I was waiting to give everyone their badges!

I got another chance at a photo with Pacopanda this year!! ๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ’• So happy to have it to add to my wall! Last time we got a picture together it was really dark because it was poolside (Paco was in-suit) so I wasnโ€™t able to include it with the others.

I wish someone had seen my reaction to this poster by Madshy when I first saw it. I stopped on my tracks like 3 times going likeโ€ฆ is that? Noโ€ฆ butโ€ฆ IS IT?! IT IS!!!!

I absolutely lost my shit in the middle of the hallway. I still canโ€™t believe it! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’• Here’s a close-up:

I received an 11 x 18 copy that I canโ€™t wait to put up for display! This was part of my prize as one of the winners of the โ€œI love Megaplexโ€ contest.

I found a rather questionable page in one of the coloring books that Blankit brought alongโ€ฆ

I had lunch with Drake and Mwako before decompressing for a few in my room prior to the Littles meet.

Photos at the Littles meet aren’t allowed, but this was my outfit for it:

I donโ€™t get to wear this outfit too often. Itโ€™s a bit too silly for most settings so I usually only wear it to meets, and those are rare. But I like it a lot. I should wear it more at home.

Outside the meet, I got to take a photo with Jessica and Lexxi to add to my wall!

After the meet, I got changed, and we went to The Knife for our usual goodbye dinner. Thank goodness, Kitty is just tall enough to eat here!

This dinner invariable makes for an utterly amazing evening. My favorite part of this con hands down!

I have a lot of goodies to share… I will be doing that over the next few days. Now it’s bedtime, tomorrow will be a long day (and a LONG train ride!)

New Sweater For A New Friend

Had to roll up the sleeves, but my new friend has some clothing they like. The outfit I had planned didnโ€™t work for them, they looked so uncomfortable wearing it!

Still looking a bit frumpy but I ordered a cheap pacifier that Iโ€™m going to customize so they can wear it.

Moon Landing Oreos? Yes please… ๐Ÿช๐ŸŒ™ ๐ŸŒŸ
